Productivity scores and distraction alerts
After you mark Outlook productive and youtube.com unproductive, VisibleHours adds the minutes. The score is productive time divided by classified time. Unclassified (neutral) and idle stay out of the percentage — they are not a score of zero. A distraction alert appears when unproductive minutes cross the number you set. 0 turns alerts off. The tray stays visible. Public Search stays on this page. After sign-in, Ask “open scores” or “alert threshold” opens the real screen; “how to read scores” opens Help.
- Write URL and app rules.
- Open Scores for the day — each person gets a percentage.
- Set the unproductive-minutes threshold (30 is the default; 0 turns alerts off).
- Open the person’s timeline from an alert to see the windows.
What this is not
- Not a web filter. It does not block sites or close apps.
- Not a hidden score. Employees still see the tray and can pause.
- Idle and unclassified minutes stay out of the percentage — not a 0% score.
- Not a done-for-you workflow. Public Search will not set a threshold or mark apps.
