Productivity scores and distraction alerts

After you mark apps and domains, VisibleHours adds the minutes. The daily score is productive time divided by classified time. A distraction alert fires when unproductive minutes cross the threshold you set — 30 minutes unless you change it. Idle and unclassified minutes stay out of the percentage. The tray stays visible.

The public page is /features/scores. The click-through is the scores tutorial. After you sign in, Ask VisibleHours “scores”, “productivity score”, “open scores”, “show me productivity scores”, or “alert threshold” opens Scores. Ask “scores tutorial” or “how to read scores” opens Help. Public Search stays on the feature page. Ask “auto-fire employees by score” or “secret productivity spy score” is refused.

Rules first, then the percentage

1. Write URL and app rules on URL rules. Without a label there is nothing to divide.
2. Open Scores for the day — each person gets a percentage.
3. Set the unproductive-minutes threshold. 0 turns alerts off.
4. Open the person’s timeline from an alert to see the windows that counted.

The score is not a live model, not AI scoring, not a hidden spy score, and not a firing tool. It is arithmetic on labels you already wrote. Employees still see pause and quit. A high or low number does not close an app or terminate anyone.

What this is not

• Not a web filter. It does not block sites or close apps.
• Not a weekly summary. That lives on weekly insights.
• Not outreach. VisibleHours does not email a person from an alert.
• Idle stays idle. Unclassified stays out of the percentage.
