Terms of use

These terms are a working draft for VisibleHours on visiblehours.com. They are not a substitute for counsel and will change before a public paid launch.

The service

VisibleHours provides an organization dashboard and a Windows tray agent that records application use, idle time, and optional screenshots on devices the organization controls. Signup creates one organization. The person who signs up is that org's admin.

Acceptable use

• Install only on company-owned (or explicitly consented) computers.
• Keep the tray icon visible. Do not wrap, hide, or spoof the agent.
• Give employees written notice before enabling screenshots. Use the employee notice at /notice (and the repository template) as a starting point.
• Do not use the product to collect keystrokes, passwords, or personal-device data.

Fees

The seat plan is seven US dollars per seat per month, billed through Stripe. Seat count is chosen at Checkout and stored on the organization. Subscription status is updated by the Stripe webhook (org.subscription_status). Test-mode keys are acceptable until live keys are issued.

Accounts and orgs

You are responsible for invite codes and admin passwords. Employees do not receive a web login in this slice — they use the agent only. Admins cannot see another organization's people or activity.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as-is for design-partner use. Unsigned Windows installers will show SmartScreen warnings until Cody supplies a code-signing certificate. Availability, backups, and production hosting are the deployer's responsibility.
