Start in trial without a card — $7 is shown, checkout is not live

A new organization starts in trial. You do not enter a card on Sign up, Pricing, or this page. $7 per seat / month is shown so the list price is honest. There is no live Stripe Checkout until keys are enabled. Trial is off-billing — not a hidden invoice and not a delayed charge that fires later without you.

The public price card is /pricing. Create the org at /signup. Ask “pricing”, “how much does it cost”, or “seven dollars per seat” stays on Pricing. Ask “sign up” or “start trial” opens Sign up. After sign-in, Ask “billing and seats” or “activate seats” opens Settings; “billing tutorial” or “how to activate seats” opens the Settings tutorial. Ask or Search “trial card guide”, “no card trial guide”, or “trial without card guide” stays on this article. “pricing guide” still opens the $7 per seat workup. Ask “please charge my card” is refused.

Trial first, card later — if ever

1. Create the organization. No card field is on that form. The new org starts in trial.
2. Read $7 per seat on Pricing and again in Settings · Billing after sign-in. The number is the list price, not a checkout session.
3. Invite people only after you send the employee notice. Trial does not hide the tray.
4. When Stripe is enabled, Operations activates seats in Settings. Until then there is no live card charge. Demo mode can mark seats active without a charge.

Public Pricing’s “Create your organization” button is the same /signup form — not a Stripe session. This guide will not open Checkout, store a card, or change seat count. Seat count lives in Settings after you sign in.

What this is not

• Not a live Stripe session. There is no checkout button on Pricing or Sign up.
• Not a card-required trial. You create the org without payment details.
• Not a hidden invoice. Trial is off-billing until Operations activates seats.
• Not a second plan or an annual SKU. One list price: $7 per seat / month.
• Not a replacement for the $7 workup — that article still covers the seat contents.
• Not outreach. VisibleHours will not email a quote or an invoice from this page.
