Timesheets are Operations allocation CSV — not auto-pay

Build a Monday–Sunday draft from allocated hours, approve it, then download payroll CSV. Not auto-pay, not ADP certified, and not a payroll-provider sync.

Timesheets are an Operations Monday–Sunday snapshot of allocated hours. You build a draft from Projects, submit it, then approve or reject. Only approved weeks land on the payroll CSV you download. VisibleHours does not auto-pay anyone, does not sync ADP or Gusto, and does not run payroll. The file is yours to take to the payroll tool you already use.

Read /features/timesheets, then allocate hours on Projects. Signed-in steps live on the timesheets tutorial. Ask VisibleHours “timesheets”, “open timesheets”, “edit timesheet”, or “time entries” opens Timesheets. “How to edit timesheets” or “timesheets tutorial” opens Help. Ask or Search “allocation week guide”, “operations allocation guide”, or “timesheet allocation guide” stays on this article. “timesheet guide” still opens the client-codes and payroll CSV guide. Ask “auto-pay employees from timesheets” or “ADP certified” is refused. Public Search will not approve a week or download a CSV.

Allocate, approve, download — stop there

  1. Put hours on a client code and project for a person and a work date.
  2. Open Timesheets, pick a date in the week, and build a draft from those allocations.
  3. Submit, then Approve or Reject. Rejected weeks stay off the CSV.
  4. Export approved rows — one row per client / project / task / date.

“Edit” means change allocations on Projects, then rebuild the draft. There is no inline cell editor and no idle or app breakdown on Timesheets. Those rows stay on Team and Exports. The tray does not change when you approve a week. Operations home is still today’s roster on Team — not this payroll snapshot.

What this is not

  • Not auto-pay. VisibleHours does not send wages from an approved week.
  • Not ADP certified, Gusto certified, or a payroll-provider sync.
  • Not idle or app time. Timesheet lines are allocated hours only.
  • Not the three manager CSVs on /reports. Those stay on Exports.
  • Not automatic billing. Seats stay $7 / person / month on Pricing.
  • Not a done-for-you payroll run. Site search will not approve a week.
